A bold and Prudent budget

Commenting on the Chancellor’s announcement that the 50p top rate tax will be reduced, Baroness Jo Valentine, Chief Executive of London First said

“It’s jam tomorrow, but the right approach to get us out of our jam today.”

“This is good news for business, good news for the economy and good news for those on low incomes. Bringing the top rate tax down sends a clear signal that Britain is open for business and will help attract the investment needed to create jobs and much needed growth. And increasing personal allowances will ease pressure on lower earners and boost consumer spending. A bold and prudent budget.”
