Business group welcomes Mayor’s launch of graduate jobs portal

Business Group London First has welcomed today’s launch by the Mayor of ‘Helping Graduates into Work’, a website to address the needs of up to 100,000 new graduates looking for jobs in the capital this year.

Baroness Jo Valentine, Chief Executive of business group London First said:

“A major strength for London is its pool of creative, industrious and talented people. It is this depth of talent which will help London to emerge as the leading world city for business, as the world recovers from the recession. London has always been a major employment destination for new graduates, from its own universities and others. There are fewer jobs this year, so any initiative which helps new graduates to find relevant opportunities, training and advice is welcome, as are measures to promote internships and apprenticeships.”
