City & Corporate Resilience in a Brexit world

If the Brexit vote reveals anything, it is that business should be prepared for the unexpected and adaptable enough to cope with the unintended consequences in a rapidly changing world. The anticipation (proactive) and the restoration (reactive) are two key features of resilience.

This is the theme of this year’s Global Resilience Summit, and is ever more relevant to commerce, cities and citizens alike. We all have a stake in making London a resilient city in the face of colossal challenges that constitute a prolonged stress as much an immediate shock.

As a result, we will be incorporating into a revised programme sessions on both the strategic and operational implications of Brexit for security and resilience.

Confirmed top speakers involved in the Summit include:

  • Cyber Resilience – Raj Samani, Vice President and Chief Technical Officer (EMEA) Intel, and Bruce McConnell, Global Vice President, EastWest Institute
  • Maintaining Trust and Reputation – Paul Moxness, Vice President Safety and Security, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group
  • Business Community Resilience – Sebastien Maire, Chief Resilience Officer in Paris, and John Yates, Group Security Director, Westfield

London First will also be launching a suite of products to help business districts implement a community resilience programme.
