Crossrail meeting with Ruth Kelly – London First commentSeptember 20, 2007
Commenting on Crossrail, following this afternoon’s meeting with Ruth Kelly, Secretary of State for Transport, Baroness Jo Valentine, Chief Executive of business organisation, London First, said:
“There has always been wide agreement by business in London that it should pay towards Crossrail. Business has long supported the scheme and called early on for discussions with Government on funding. We are ready to help find a fair way for businesses to contribute to meeting this funding gap, but it will be a tough call to achieve all this in the timeframes being discussed.”
