Oxford Street is the UK’s most famous shopping street at the heart of the West End’s global retail shopping district and accommodates 4 million visitors a week. The Mayor of London has committed to deliver its pedestrianisation by 2020, aiming to reduce congestion, improve air quality and improve safety for pedestrians.
