Have your say on national planning policy

In December 2015, the government launched a consultation on a series of proposed changes to the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) (2012) which focus on housing. This follows spate of ministerial announcements on housing and proposed changes set out in the Productivity Plan (September 2015) and Housing and Planning Bill including starter homes. The consultation period runs until the 22nd February 2016.

London First has summarised the key highlights of the proposed amendments, which include:

  • Affordable Housing
  • Increasing Residential Densities at Commuter Hubs
  • New Settlements, Brownfield Land and Local Plans
  • Supporting the delivery of starter homes
  • Green belt
