London 2012

"After the success of the Olympic Games, it has become clear that London's economic growth lies to the East. I'm relying on London First to help us deliver it"

Sir Robin Wales
Mayor, London Borough of Newham

London has been an exciting place to be in 2012.
As well as the Olympic and Paralympic Games themselves, the capital also played host to the Torch Relay, London 2012 Festival, Live Sites, National Olympic Houses and a wide programme of business hospitality events.

London First worked closely with City Hall, Transport for London, the Olympic and Paralympic bodies and official sponsors, the Home Office and the Metropolitan Police to ensure that the needs of business weretaken into account in the delivery of the Games.

We also provided a programme of briefings to help our members to maximise the opportunities presented by the Games, whilst also helping to minimise disruptions. These included events with key stakeholders, complemented by a regular London 2012 newsletter, in partnership with official London 2012 sponsor BT.
