LISTEN: Sadiq Khan lays out his vision for the capitalFebruary 11, 2016
Labour Mayoral candidate Sadiq Khan MP has laid out his vision for the capital to London First members. Discussing his ideas on housing, transport, promotion and wider economic development, the mayoral hopeful said he saw the opportunity to upskill Londoners as the most exciting part of the role and said he would:
- Continue the work Boris Johnson has done as Mayor to champion London overseas as a destination for business and tourism
- Prefer 35,000 homes built every year that are affordable for Londoners, than 50,000 built for overseas investors
- Lobby for more devolution to London
- Oppose the introduction of a Mansion Tax
