London BIDs Summit brings the capital together

Business Improvement Districts, the GLA and borough leaders convened for London BIDs Summit at City Hall this week.

Deputy Mayor for London Business, Rajesh Agrawal reassured BIDs that City Hall recognises their key role in changing the face of the high street, and their interests will be kept to the fore as we head towards Brexit.

Night Czar Amy Lamé paid tribute to BIDs, and their vital role in sustaining London’s vibrancy. She also highlighted how some 700,000 jobs are supported by the night-time economy, and encouraged a change in conversation on late licensing and planning.

A range of workshops generated rich discussion on areas including digital outcomes, cultural vision and raising the profile of industrial landscapes.
