London Property Summit 2014 – Keeping London ahead of the game

Over 500 senior property industry members will attend the London Property Summit 2014, alongside the most influential public and private stakeholders responsible for delivering major development across retail, commercial and residential schemes.

Ahead of the Summit, London First will be writing to Housing Minister, Brandon Lewis, with our three key steps to solve the London housing crisis:

  • Greater powers for the Mayor to set tougher requirements on the London boroughs,
  • The Mayor to have the power to lead on identifying and disposing of strategic sites owned by the public sector that are surplus to requirements,
  • Allowing London councils to invest in housing.

Delegates will hear about these recommendations and the challenges London faces, as well as where the growth and opportunity lies if the sector wants to keep London ahead of the game. The discussion will cover the planning, strategy and investment that London needs to release its economic potential and will give delegates the chance to hear directly from leading developers and decision-makers in London.

The third annual London Property Summit – run by London First and leading property network forum Movers and Shakers – will be taking place on Wednesday 19 November at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre.
