London Business Network
The London 2012 Games and legacy provide a tremendous opportunity for the business community in the UK. Approximately 75,000 contracts will be procured through the London 2012 supply chain and related work between now and 2012.
The London Business Network was set up by London First on behalf of the 2012 delivery agencies and the wider London business community. It aims to ensure the transparency and availability of London 2012 opportunities, maximising the number and diversity of businesses contributing to the London 2012 programme and creating a legacy of increased capacity and expertise.
The Network organises an extensive schedule of Games-related business events for its members
CompeteFor - matching buyers and suppliers online
The Network has developed CompeteFor, a ground-breaking website that acts as a brokerage service between buyers throughout the London 2012 supply chain, and potential suppliers. Launched in January 2008, CompeteFor is the chosen site of London 2012 for the publication of Games-related contract opportunities and is increasingly being used for other public sector contracts.
