Skills London: one month to goNovember 4, 2016
Ensuring that our future workforce is well equipped with the skills that businesses require to grow and thrive is a priority for London First. We helped set up Teach First back in 2001 and for the last ten years we have hosted the annual Skills London exhibition, the largest of its type in the UK.
Each year this jobs and skills fair matches 33,000 young Londoners with over 200 employers and education establishments recruiting for 45,000 job and apprenticeship opportunities. This year Skills London 2016 takes place 9 – 10 December at ExCel London and we are inviting London First members to take part.
Alongside the tens of thousands of jobs on offer, we provide expert careers and training advice on all sectors relevant to London’s growth in an interactive and fun way. Feedback from our visitors and exhibitors is outstanding and Skills London has become the key fixture in the London diary for making a valuable and informed connection for employers with school leavers, teachers, and parents.
Take a look at our short video from last year’s event, which gives a nice sense of the atmosphere at Skills London.
The show is endorsed by The Mayor of London. Other public sector partners include the National Careers Service and National Apprenticeship Service. Commercial partners already on board include NatWest/RBS, McDonalds, Thames Tideway, and Property Needs You, a consortium including major property firms JLL, Knight Frank, Cushman and Wakefield, CBRE, Savills, Colliers International, Bilfinger GVA, BNP Paribas Real Estate, Gerald Eve, and Strutt and Parker.
