TfL’s road modernisation work gets underway

With this being the biggest investment in London’s roads for a generation, the number of work sites and traffic they create are on the rise.

TfL’s website carries general details, while tfl.gov.uk/trafficnews is where to check affected routes day by day. There will be month by month breakdowns of all its construction programmes, showing where each phase is taking place. Businesses will be able to search postcode by postcode to factor any delays into route planning.

The TfL Road Freight Bulletin gives regular details on issues affecting deliveries – you can sign up by emailing freight@tfl.gov.uk. There is also their business engagement bulletin, with monthly information on how TfL is helping businesses’ travel run as smoothly as possible – the address to sign up is businessengagement@tfl.gov.uk.

TfL is stepping up its tailored advice on re-timing deliveries to outside the peak of 07.00 to 13.00. It is running ‘Changing Times – Delivering London’s Future’, hosted by Commissioner Sir Peter Hendy on 29th April. If you would like to attend, please email freight@tfl.gov.uk.
