World Cities Conference is days awaySeptember 19, 2014
London First’s inaugural World Cities Conference, which will look at how best to make cities safer, smarter, and more resilient is just around the corner.
Over 130 organisations are taking part in ‘World Cities: Safe, Secure, Smart and Resilient’, with around 200 delegates expected over the two-and-a-half days.
The high-profile list of speakers and chairpersons will make the event a lively and engaging affair.
Our headline sponsor, PwC, is kindly hosting a pre-event reception on the evening of 8 October, with PwC Partner, Leo Johnson, speaking.
Platinum sponsor, Canary Wharf Group, is kindly hosting the conference dinner on 9 October at Level39 at Canada Square, Canary Wharf, which should be a spectacular event for those diners who want a view. Nick Ross, the journalist and broadcaster who fronted the BBC’s Crimewatch programme, will be the guest speaker.
To kick the conference off, courtesy of Siemens, there is a pre-event workshop which is being organised by the Global Risk Network of New York University, at the impressive Crystal Centre in Docklands.
All the events and venues will give our foreign guests and delegates a fine show of London’s premier position as a world city.
