London First webinar with the Department for Education kindly hosted by Grant Thornton
Covid19 has hit the London workforce hard – one in three have been furloughed, jobs in the capital are forecast to drop by 7% this year and in many cases apprenticeships have stalled. In response, the Government has announced a number of measures to address these challenges, providing support and funding incentives to help business provide apprenticeships and jobs, in particular to young workers who have been hit hardest by Covid19.
Please join London First for this important webinar with the Department for Education – it’s Education and Skills Funding Agency – kindly hosted by Grant Thornton, where we will set out the key details of these incentives and new flexibilities to help employers hire new apprentices and trainees, as well as support redundant and displaced apprentices. We’ll also cover other aspects of the Government’s Plan for Jobs, including the Kickstart scheme which will provide fully funded work placements, and crucially guide you through how to access this support.
