Breakfast briefing with Jeremy Pocklington, Director General, Housing at the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government who will be updating up us on Government plans to meet its 300,000 housebuilding target, recent policy announcements and future initiatives.
This session will also provide the opportunity to explore challenges currently facing the housing sector and future opportunities.
Jeremy joined the MHCLG in August 2018 and in that
time has overseen several key reforms and announcements such as
• additional funding to boost housing supply, including £570 million to deliver London housing near transport links;
• plans to introduce a new Housing Complaints Service for the entire market; and
• the lifting of the cap on local authority borrowing to build new homes.
