London First, the business campaign group, has appointed Laura Osborne as Director of Strategic Communications and Campaigns.
Laura joins London First having orchestrated CityFibre’s successful campaign to secure support for a change to the Advertising Standards Authority’s rules on fibre broadband advertising, which are currently subject to Judicial Review. Jasmine Whitbread, chief executive of London First, said: “Laura is an experienced and effective communicator with a wealth of strategic campaigns, political and media experience. She’s proven her ability to influence decision-makers and bring about real change, for the benefit of consumers and businesses. I’m delighted to be starting 2019 with Laura on the team.”
Laura Osborne said: “It’s a privilege to be joining London First’s Corporate Affairs team at such a pivotal time. Ensuring the voice of London’s businesses is heard is critical as decisions on Brexit, immigration, skills, housing and infrastructure shape the UK’s future. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the team and build our impact and influence.”
