Commenting on the decision by the Civil Aviation Authority not to lift Heathrow’s pre-planning consent spending limit from £650m to £2.4bn, John Dickie, Director of Strategy and Policy at London First, said:
“The CAA’s recognition that expanding Heathrow will be good for passengers and good for competition is very welcome. It is important that we get aviation expansion right and while this determination adds a short delay, it also provides clarity about the delivery of the additional aviation capacity that the UK so desperately needs as we re-shape our global connections outside the EU.”
