Jasmine Whitbread, chief executive of London First, said:
“Scrapping the £65 fee is morally right, and the least the Government can do for EU citizens who have been treated like pawns in the Brexit debate.
“Although the Prime Minister has offered parliament an olive branch on its involvement in future negotiations, she doesn’t appear to have made any definitive progress on avoiding no-deal, or presented a plan B that will command parliamentary support.
“It is time to stop the clock and revoke Article 50, so the Government can come up with a plan that works. If it can’t do that, the decision should go back to the people”
