London First response to potential public transport disruption
17 April 2019
In response to potential public transport disruption by climate change activists, Jasmine Whitbread, London First chief executive says:
“Climate change is a critical issue and we respect people’s right to protest peacefully, but disrupting the lives of ordinary Londoners trying to get to work, home and around the capital isn’t the right way to wins hearts and minds.”
“It seems particularly ill conceived for protestors to target the tube — one of the cleanest forms of transport. We’d urge protestors to consider other ways to make their point rather than bringing the city to a halt.”
