Commenting on a major incident being declared in London, Jasmine Whitbread, Chief Executive of London First, said:
“This is undoubtedly a worrying time for Londoners, and we urge everyone to continue to follow the guidance to stay safe. Mass vaccination offers us all hope that restrictions will be able to be loosened in the coming months. But until we can unlock safely, businesses will need continued support so that the capital can bounce back quickly and drive the UK’s recovery. The Government should extend business rates and VAT relief throughout 2021.”
