Schools must be given support to deliver remote learning, says London First
13 August 2020
Commenting on the announcement of A‑Level results, Mark Hilton, Executive Director for People at London First, said:
“Young people have endured the most disrupted and challenging periods of learning. Although they did not get to sit their final exams, they should be congratulated for their resilience and celebrated for their achievements.
“As the Government looks to reopen schools in September, it must now put together a robust strategy to ensure there are no further breaks in teaching should an increase in infection rates require further lockdowns.
“Schools must be given all support possible to deliver remote learning, so that any change in government advice does not impact on education. Otherwise we risk a lost generation of young people without the skills to enter the workforce.”
