Dinner
Our Leading London dinners provide an opportunity for a small group of senior leaders within BusinessLDN membership to meet and discuss a topical business issue over dinner. All discussions take place under the Chatham House rule. For this invitation only dinner we will be joined by Jonathan Reynolds MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Business & Trade. In the run-up to the General Election taking place this year, this dinner will be a timely opportunity to engage with the Labour Party as it strives to become the next Government. This event will focus on Labour’s Industrial Strategy and how members can work in partnership with the Labour Party to help shape it’s four central missions: delivering clean power by 2030, caring for the future, harnessing data for the public good and building a more resilient economy. Jonathan was appointed Shadow Secretary of State for Business and Industrial Strategy in November 2021. Between 2020 and 2021, he served in the Shadow Cabinet as the Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions. He previously served as Shadow Economic Secretary to the Treasury (2016 to 2020) under Jeremy Corbyn, and Shadow Minister for Rail (2015 – 16). He was an Opposition Spokesman on Climate Change between 2013 and 2015.
