Local Skills Improvement Plan Report Launch

London is a beacon for talent and opportunity. However, underneath its successes lies a complex labour market with multiple inequalities and challenges. Employers face acute labour shortages, yet unemployment is high compared to other regions. In response, we’ve produced London’s first Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) — the biggest data deep-dive on skills that the capital has seen, based on a wide-ranging consultation and engagement programme. We’ve taken this analysis and developed priority actions and a roadmap to getting more Londoners into jobs, by better matching training provision to employer demand. Join us as we launch London’s LSIP and set out how we’ll work together to implement the plan. By getting more people into jobs, we’ll help tackle poverty and improve social mobility, and drive economic growth.
