Supporting disabled people into employment and to thrive in the workplace

What can we do to help more disabled people into employment and then thrive once they are in the workplace? Around 1 in 5 working age adults in the UK are disabled. Despite this large and growing number, disabled people are almost twice as likely to be unemployed as non-disabled people, and 3 times as likely to be economically inactive. Join us at this roundtable, which will be an opportunity to hear from charities, businesses and thought leaders on how disabled Londoners can be supported into work and achieve their full potential. We will focus on tackling both the key barriers that disabled people face in accessing employment, and the challenges faced by employers such as building disability-inclusive recruitment processes and improving support for disabled people in the workplace.
