London’s continued success as a leading world city is critically dependent on high quality infrastructure.
Yet much of London’s economic infrastructure is at or near capacity and in many cases ageing and lacking in resilience under pressure.
If London is to grow sustainably and remain globally competitive, then its infrastructure needs to grow to keep London moving.
Getting the green light for Crossrail 2 is our top priority, and we’re building on our track record of success with Crossrail 1 to push this through.
Beyond Crossrail 2, we are leading the campaign for continued investment in the vital transport, utility and digital infrastructure required to keep London the best city in the world to live and do business.
“London First played a central role in getting the go-ahead for Crossrail, not least through its work in developing a mixed funding package. We see London First as a key ally in mobilising London business and building consensus to repeat that feat for Crossrail 2, the next major transport infrastructure priority for the capital.”
